Creating ecoöogical awareness

The Life Balance Academy is located in what was originally a large olive tree grove in the National Park of Cilento in southern Italy. The planned octahedron-shaped buildings blend in harmony with the wild countryside.

The project will be designed from an ecological point of view. Here, young people can discover nature's cycles and learn to value natural resources.

Precious drinking water

We do not use classical toilets flushed with clean water, but either directly recycled water for flushing, or modern compost separation toilets from Finland that work independently from a sewer system and later provide valuable compost humus.

So for example, during a 14-day summer vacation camp with 30 adults and children we can save almost 20,000 litres of valuable drinking water.

For our drinking water we do not use mineral water in plastic bottles as so often the case today, but filter mains water through an active carbon filter and energize the water structure using physical forces.

This means we can considerably reduce our waste disposal volume.

Everything linked in cycles

A very important part of workcamp is converting out thoughtless use of natural resources into concious ecological actions. We aim to stimulate the knowledge the Nature, the planet Earth and we ourselves are all bound together in cycles. These cycles must be recognized and protected, on both a small and large scale. Through independent regional actions everyone can take on some global responsibilty.

Natural water clarification system

Used water is purified by an environmentally friendly plant purification system so that recycled water is reintegrated into various water cycles. This involves natural plant-bed filters, i.e. damp biotopes that filter and purify the pollutants in waste water with the help of plants, gravel and microorganisms.
